The Personal and Transactional Law track prepares students to counsel individuals and small businesses in various aspects of the law.

Students may employ their education in Personal and Transactional Law in several different careers:

  • Estate Planner
  • Small Business Counselor
  • Family Practitioner
  • Real Estate Lawyer
  • Child Advocate

Lawyers in these fields are able to practice either on their own or as a member of a small firm. The ABA section devoted to small firms is the fastest growing section of the ABA.

If you want to use your legal training to advance your career outside the practice of law, this is the track for you. Government service, business management, and hospital administration are just a few of the many fields in which UDSL graduates have utilized their legal education.
