Welcome to the legal profession. From Orientation to Commencement and beyond, the UDSL community will share in your efforts to grow as a professional. 

The learning process begins on your first day of class with our “Partners in the Profession” sessions. During these sessions, faculty, staff, students, and members of the local bench and bar join together to introduce you to the standards and expectations of your chosen profession. We are particularly grateful to members of the Dayton Bar Association for sharing their time, wisdom, and experience with our new students.

The Partners in the Profession sessions culminate in the administration of the Oath of Professionalism. In the words of the Oath, it is our hope and our expectation that every UDSL student and alumnus will be known as a person of “principle, compassion, strength, and courage.”
