As Bar Passage Consultant, Patti Pickrel helps students prepare for the bar examination, coaching them on what courses to take, giving strategies for dealing with the different sections of the exam, and holding practice sessions to improve their skills in answering exam questions. Ms. Pickrel understands the hard work and hours of studying; she took the exam herself not too long ago.
 
In addition to consulting UDSL graduates in the bar passage program, Ms. Pickrel has also recently worked as a private bar exam tutor and an essay grader for BAR/BRI of Ohio, providing constructive feedback to students who submit practice essays for the Ohio bar exam.

After graduating cum laude from UDSL, where she was Associate Executive Editor of the Law Review and winner of the Walter H. Rice Moot Court Competition, Ms. Pickrel worked for five years as an associate at the Dayton law firm of Sebaly, Shillito & Dyer. Since 2005, she has worked as an independent contractor for Ulmer & Berne, LLP, performing electronic document review, privilege review, and quality control functions in pharmaceutical liability litigations.
