George Snyder began working in the Zimmerman Law Library in January, 2006. His main duties are to assist patrons, supervise student workers and help update and maintain the library's collection.

Mr. Snyder comes to the University of Dayton School of Law after teaching eighth grade English and Reading in the Troy City Schools for thirty-five years. He earned his undergraduate degree at Wilmington College, with a major in English, history and government. He holds a master's degree in educational administration from Wright State University. He has also done additional graduate work at Indiana University, Youngstown State University, Wright State University and the University of Dayton. He also completed a three-year studies program with the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio's School for the Diaconate. he was ordained to the sacred Order of Deacons in 2001 and now serves as the deacon for St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Riverside.

Mr. Snyder has been active in the community. He volunteered for the Troy Strawberry Festival for many years. He served as a foster parent for Miami County Children's Service. He has also had extensive training with the American Academy of Bereavement and now volunteers for Hospice of Miami County where he focuses on children's grief issues. Mr. Snyder also volunteers at the Koester Pavilion, a retirement home in Troy.

Mr. Snyder has one son, Christopher, who is married and has one son. Mr. Snyder enjoys classical music, plays, traveling and reading.
