Before the course schedule is finalized for each semester, each rising upper-level student has the opportunity to preregister. The purpose of preregistration is so that we can determine which classes have enough interest to run and to work out as many scheduling conflicts as possible. It is very important that each student participates in this process, in order to ensure a schedule that is as accommodating as possible.
The Preregistration Response Form will be sent to the Lotus Notes e-mail accounts of all rising upper-level students. Students should complete the form, listing the courses they plan to take along with any schedule conflicts between classes that they would take if the conflicts are resolved. To complete this activity, students should create a tentative plan for the rest of their legal education, using the information provided in degree requirements, tentative list of future offerings, and course descriptions. If students need any assistance with this process, they should contact the Office of the Registrar, Associate Dean Gerla, or any faculty member.
Once students complete the form, they should follow the instructions in the e-mail to submit the form. The more students that participate in preregistration, the better we will be able to evaluate the schedule and make it as satisfactory as possible to all students.
