Welcome to the University of Dayton School of Law and to our innovative, award-winning Lawyer as Problem Solver program. Lawyers possess the power to impact the world in a positive way by solving problems, big and small, for their clients, their communities, and their world.
The Lawyer as Problem Solver program teaches students foundational legal knowledge, as well as the skills lawyers need to apply that knowledge. The program offers three tracks:
Lawyer as Problem Solver creates many opportunities for students to gain real world experience. For example, every student will enjoy a supervised, high-quality, externship experience related to his or her track and will take part in a capstone or clinical course that builds on earlier track courses. Students will continue to benefit from our nationally respected Legal Profession Program.
We have revised our academic calendar so that students have more control over when they start the program and how long it takes them to finish. Highly motivated students can graduate in as little as twenty-four months. No matter which path students choose, they will be supported along the way by our highly successful Road to Bar Passage Program.
We are very excited by the learning opportunities afforded to our students by the Lawyer as Problem Solver program. We believe that UDSL can impact our world, and we ask that you consider joining us in our quest for excellence.
