As Admissions Specialist, Verna Marable manages all correspondence operations, including mailing information to perspective students; maintains and monitors the law info email; and supervises the undergraduate staff. Working at the front desk in the Office of Admissions allows her to meet and get to know many students, though Ms. Marable is no stranger to working with young adults. A youth minister at her church, she enjoys talking to youth about bettering their lives. “My first love is my ministry,” she says. She is also active in her church’s praise and worship team, and she has worked with area gospel choirs to release four CDs.

Ms. Marable started working at the School of Law in 1999 because she was attracted to the values of the University of Dayton, as well as the opportunity to work with young adults in an academic environment. Her previous experience includes working in marketing and contracts for an oil distribution company and in market development and research for a hair products company in Georgia.
