As the Communications Specialist for the School of Law, Jill Hanning writes, edits, and organizes formal communications for the external and internal UDSL communities. She works with the Dean, external relations, admissions, career services, faculty, and student organizations to highlight and promote programs and events, both academic and social, both campus based and community based, originating at the School of Law.
Ms. Hanning began her work at UDSL in January 2007. She is thrilled to be a part of the University of Dayton. “There are so many positive things happening around this campus. The philosophies of service and stewardship are reflected in the many warm and genuine interactions I have daily with the people here,” she said.
Her previous title was Public Relations and Alumni Coordinator for the Miami Valley School, her alma mater. Ms. Hanning has experience as a freelance journalist and has written for many publications, including Dayton Daily News, The Cincinnati Enquirer, Los Angeles Times, and MSNBC.com. She also teaches at Sinclair Community College, where she has been a part-time faculty member since 2003.
In her free time, Ms. Hanning enjoys reading, practicing yoga, riding her bike, and being with her family.
